Copley began working in the office in 2017, then left to spend two years working for the US Attorney's Office. And after prosecuting cases involving drugs, guns, and street gangs, he returned to the county attorney's office in December.
One other person is in the race for county attorney - Republican Kelly Cunningham is currently the Assistant County Attorney for Muscatine County.
