The woman accused of running down 3 people with her car on the I-74 Bridge pedestrian and bike path has pleaded not guilty. Tuesday morning, 46 year old Chhabria Harris entered her plea during arraignment in Rock Island County circuit court.

Police say Harris drove a car across the pedestrian and bike path early on May 22nd, and hit 3 men who were walking up the path from the Moline side of the bridge. Killed were 21 year old Ethan Gonzalez and 18 year old Anthony Castaneda, both from Moline. The third man, 22 year old Charles Bowen of Moline, was hospitalized in critical condition.

Her charges include Reckless Homicide, Aggravated DUI-Causing Death or Bodily Harm, Aggravated Reckless Driving, and Failure to Stop at the Scene of an Accident Involving Death or Injury.

At her hearing Tuesday morning, Harris pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial. Her next hearing is set for June 23rd, and her bail was continued at 2 million dollars.
