The parent team, the Kansas City Royals, says Brooks Conrad will return along with most of his first season staff.
In addition, pitching coach Derrick Lewis will join the Bandits for the first time, while hitting coach Ryan Powers, will return to the Quad Cities this season. He was the Bandits' video intern just two seasons ago.
After seven minor league seasons, Conrad played in the majors for six years with Oakland, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, and San Diego. And last year during his first season managing the River Bandits, Conrad became the first minor league manager to win a game at the Field of Dreams in Iowa, after beating Cedar Rapids.
This will be the third year the Quad Cities River Bandits have been part of the Royals organization. They signed a five year affiliation agreement in 2020.
