Kamala Harris Holds Davenport Town Hall

The second presidential candidate in as many days made a stop in Davenport on Thursday. California Senator Kamala Harris spoke at a town hall at St. Ambrose University's Rogalski Center, fielding questions from the audience.


More than 1,000 people turned out in Davenport  Tuesday to see Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg. It was standing room only at Lee Lohman Arena at Saint Ambrose University as the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana held a rally to end his four-day bus trip in Iowa. / SAU Diversity on Twitter

After running St. Ambrose University's diversity office and disability services, Ryan Saddler is now in charge of a new initiative. 

This week, the Davenport college announced Saddler is its new Associate Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 

Eric Swalwell - US House

A young Congressman from California will help kick-off a series of forums with presidential candidates in the Quad Cities. On Sunday, Eric Swalwell will be the first to address local residents, sponsored by the Quad City Times, Chamber of Commerce, and Saint Ambrose University.

Diocese of Davenport

Instead of the Quad Cities, this year's presentation of the Pacem In Terris, Peace and Freedom award was held in a Buddhist temple in the Himalays, 7,000 miles from here. 

Local Musicians On New QC Beats Website

All your favorite local artists will soon be on one streaming platform. This Friday, "QC Beats" will launch with a kickoff party at the River Music Experience in Davenport, featuring several of the musicians. 

It's the beginning of the end for a Quad Cities institution. The 40th and final year of CommUniversity will start on Sunday. 

Assumption High School

Assumption High School in Davenport is preparing to take the next step in its long effort to build its own sports facilities. Monday night, the board of directors approved spending nine million dollars for phase two of the St. Vincent's Center Athletic Complex.

QC Colleges

A second group of college graduates is now featured on local billboards, showing how higher education has improved their lives. It's part of an effort launched last summer called "QC Colleges, Raising the QC by 4,171 Degrees."
