The first person to walk the entire Rock River Trail ended his hike on Tuesday in the Quad Cities. 87-year-old Lyle Lidholm walked more than 300 miles from Horicon, Wisconsin to Rock Island.

The inaugural Rock River Trail Ride ended Thursday afternoon at the confluence with the Mississippi in the Quad Cities. On the final day of their trip, Dan Libman, who teaches English at Northern Illinois University, and Carl Nelson, a WNIJ producer rode their bicycles from Prophetstown to the Hennepin Canal in Milan.
