Drivers may want to avoid using Moline's River Drive at I-74 for the next couple of months.

Michelle O'Neill reports, starting Tuesday, the Illinois DOT will close the eastbound off-ramp.

The Moline school board has named the district's next superintendent. Monday night board members chose Rachel Savage, hwo will begin July 1, 2019. 

This week, the Moline  school board will interview three finalists for district superintendent.

A new bus service is designed to reduce traffic congestion during construction of the new I-74 bridge. On Monday the "Stretch" commuter bus service began carrying people between Bettendorf and downtown Moline, and Bettendorf and downtown Rock Island.

Property taxes should stay the same for most residents of the Black Hawk College District. Thursday night  trustees are expected to give their final approval to next year's tax levy.

The Quad Cities' busiest street is ready just in time for Black Friday. After nearly a decade of planning and construction, the John Deere Road project in Moline, is finally nearing completion.

Continuing road work on I-74 in Moline may cause more problems for drivers this week. The Illinois Department of Transportation says starting today at 8:00 am, a crew closed one eastbound lane under the Avenue of the Cities bridge. The lane is set to reopen at 3:00 pm. And the 8-to-3 schedule will be repeated Wednesday through Friday.

A Moline man has been identified as the victim of Wednesday's fatal shooting in downtown Moline. Thursday, police released the name of 22 year old Corey Harrell.

A sure sign of the holidays has made its first appearance. Thursday, the TaxSlayer Center in Moline put up this year's Christmas Tree, in the circle outside along River Drive.
