Tuesday night, alderman will consider hiring GovHR USA, based in Northbrook, Illinois, having used the same firm several times in the past when it was called the PAR Group.

A retiree has joined four others in the race for Moline alderman at-large. Carol Triebel was the latest to announce her candidacy on Monday.

Rising property values will mean higher taxes for some residents of Moline, but also additional revenue for the city. Last week the city council approved next year's tax levy on first reading, with final approval expected in two weeks (12/6).
