Scott County may more than double the size of its Juvenile Detention Center. So, on Saturday, the Juvenile Justice Coalition of the Quad Cities will host a community forum at Modern Woodmen Park on the issue.

Kids Eat Free

A new effort to fight hunger in the Quad Cities offers a free weekend meal each month to low income children and their families in Scott County.  "Kids Eat Free" held its first free meal last month, and will offer its second on Saturday.

Following their election in November, government leaders for Scott County were sworn in Wednesday morning. 

Genesis Health System is expanding its services for mental health, from children to seniors.  Today it announced a special geriatric unit will open in October on the west campus in Davenport.
