Davenport police are holding out hope a reward will help them solve a three month old homicide. On Monday Crime Stoppers annnounced the extension for another 90 days of the 10,000 dollar cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the person reponsible for Jason Roberts' death.

Davenport Police Seek Help Finding Missing Person

The Davenport Police Department is seeking the community’s help in locating a missing person.

61-year-old Chris Atkinson was last seen wearing a blue long sleeve shirt near the 800 block of East Rusholme Street.

Atkinson is bald and has blue eyes. He's 5'6" and weighs 170 pounds.

Davenport Council Approves Purchase Of Police Body Cams

The Davenport Police Department conducted a year-long search to choose a bidder for its latest initiative: buying body cameras for its 163-officer force.

The Davenport City Council has approved a major contract to purchase body cameras for the city's 150 police officers.

A pilot project that's part of a larger pilot project in Davenport is ready to start. Later this week, cameras will be turned on and start recording along a section of Washington Street.

A week and a half ago, Davenport police were called to the scene of a deadly car accident at the intersection of 2nd Street and Brady Street.

A driver who was stopped at a red light was killed when another speeding vehicle failed to stop, striking two cars.

For this week's "Big Story" in the Quad-City Times, Tara Becker reports on the nature of the investigation after accidents like this occur. 

Two Davenport teenagers are suspected of killing another teen in the city last week. Wednesday police announced the arrest of 17 year old Trevor Owens and 14 year old Kamario Hill. 

They're charged with first degree murder and intimidation with a dangerous weapon in connection with the fatal shooting of 15 year old Ayana Culbreath. She was shot once while standing outside a home in the 42-hundred block of Warren Street, on June 26th.
