With the Iowa primary less than three weeks away, there's help for residents of Clinton County who may not remember where to cast their ballots. The county is once again offering a free app called "WhereUVote."

With the Iowa primary less than a month away, all six democrats running for governor will debate in the Quad Cities this weekend. Co-sponsored by KWQC-tv and the Quad City Times, it'll be held on Sunday night in the studios of KWQC in Davenport.

Peters for Congress

A republican candidate for Congress will campaign in the Quad Cities and nearby cities this weekend. Christopher Peters from Coralville is challenging incumbent Second District democrat Dave Loebsack.

One of the many candidates for governor of Iowa is a doctor and former state chair of the democratic party. After filing for the June primary ballot last week, Andy McGuire plans to visit all 99 counties in the state.

After losing three times, the fourth time turned out to be the "charm" for the proposed public safety sales tax in Henry County. It was approved in Tuesday's voting by 59 to 37 per cent.

The race for Rock Island County sheriff in Tuesday's primary election turned out not to be very close at all. Incumbent Gerry Bustos easily won the democratic nomination with 80 per cent of the vote, over former sheriff Jeff Boyd who finished with 20 per cent.
