Bloomberg 2020

One of the newer entrants in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination is making a major investment in Illinois. Former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg plans to  open 14 campaign offices in the state, with 80 staff members.

DES MOINES — This morning, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price released the following statement:

“Last night, more than 1,600 precinct caucuses gathered across the state of Iowa and at satellite caucuses around the world to demonstrate our shared values and goal of taking back the White House.

If one Democratic caucus in Davenport is any indication, Bernie Sanders has a good shot at his party's nomination for president. Monday night at Central High School in Davenport, Sanders was the winner with 45 people in his corner.

Joe Biden's been "preachin' to the choir" in the Quad Cities area, as he campaigns before next week's Iowa caucuses. 

Michelle O'Neill was there on Tuesday at Jeno's Little Hungary bar in Davenport, as Biden spoke to precinct captains, volunteers, and other supporters. 


With just a week to go until the Iowa caucuses, some eastern Iowa Democrats are still trying to make up their minds.

With the caucuses only about two weeks away, the group Women for Trump held a brief bus tour across Iowa this week. It started in Sioux City Thursday and ended in the Quad Cities Friday afternoon.

Klobuchar 2020

Presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar plans to campaign in the Quad Cities area this weekend. 

After participating in an education forum in West Des Moines on Saturday morning, the Democratic US Senator from Minnesota is scheduled to host town halls in Coralville, Clinton, and Davenport.
