The most recent democrat to consider running for president will visit eastern iowa this weekend. Ohio U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown is starting a tour of select states to help him decide if he wants to run for the nomination next year.

One of the Democrats running for president will campaign in eastern Iowa this weekend. 


The next governor and lieutenant governor of Illinois visited the Quad Cities Monday afternoon. For J.B. Pritzker and Juliana Stratton it was the final day of a statewide thank you tour following their win in the November election. Herb Trix reports.

Doug House Is Stepping Down As Democratic Chair

The Rock Island County Democratic Party is losing its leader. After eight years of serving as party chair, Doug House has decided not to run again. The democratic central committee will vote tomorrow on a replacement.

More than half of registered voters in both Rock Island and Scott counties went to the polls for the midterm election.

In Scott County, 69,481of the 127,185 registered voters cast ballots. That's 54.6%, compared to 48% four years ago.

Two democrats and one republican have won election to the Scott County Board. Incumbent democrat Brinson Kinzer was the top vote-getter, followed by fellow democrat and newcomer Ken Croken. And they'll be joined by republican newcomer John Maxwell.
