Bettendorf School District

While classes are closed because of the pandemic, the Bettendorf School District has started handing out meals at two sites. The drive through service is open Monday through Friday, from 11:30 am until 1 pm, at Bettendorf Middle School and Neil Armstrong Elementary.

The Bettendorf School District will be led by Michelle Morse starting in July.

This morning, the school board announced it will hire Dr. Morse to be superintendent at its next school board meeting.

Morse has worked in public education for more than 25 years, and currently is the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources for the Newhall School District in Valencia, California.

The two finalists for superintendent of the Bettendorf schools will visit the district on Thursday. Michelle Morse and Robert Callaghan will meet with staff, students, parents, and community members, then answer questions at community forums in the evening.

Two finalists have been chosen by the Bettendorf School Board as it looks for a new superintendent. Thursday night it released the names of Michelle Morse and Robert Callaghan.

The Bettendorf school board is preparing to take the next step in its search for a new superintendent. Tuesday night, its consultant will meet with the board in private session and provide it with a list of eight to twelve possible candidates.

Hoping to save some money in the long run, the Bettendorf school board has approved an early retirement incentive.

The Bettendorf School District is selecting a logo for its new initiative, "Portrait of a Graduate." So today, a gallery walk was held at the District Administration Center for people to vote on which logo they prefer.
