U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst stopped in Davenport yesterday as part of her Ride Across Iowa event. As she addressed supporters outside of the Scott County Republican Headquarters, protestors drove around the parking lot in a truck, waving signs.

As he prepares to retire, Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack stopped in the Quad Cities this week to campaign for Joe Biden and his hoped-for successor, Rita Hart. He's represented the Second District for 14 years.

During the pandemic, Rock Island and Scott county officials will help voters stay safe during the November election. 

Iowa farmers are facing falling corn prices, hurricane-level destruction, and the highest coronavirus transmission rates in the country. Former Secretary of Agriculture and Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack says it didn't have to be like this.

Dozens of cars pulled into the Blue Grass Drive-in to watch Joe Biden accept the nomination on the big screen. Because of the pandemic, Eastern Iowa Democrats organized the watch party so they could gather together while staying six feet apart.

Illinois is one of 46 states where the US Post Office says mail-in ballots may not be received in time for the election this fall. Illinois US Sen. Dick Durbin recommends requesting a ballot at least 15 days in advance.
