Democratic presidential candidate, Michael Bennet, was supposed to campaign in eastern Iowa this week.

But instead, the US Senator from Colorado decided to stay in Washington D.C. to vote on the North American trade deal and later, impeachment (see pdf below).

U.S. Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-Moline) will run unopposed in March's Democratic primary.

Her challenger, Spanky Edwards of Peoria, was removed from contention by the Illinois State Board of Elections Thursday after a petition challenge was upheld.

After failing to move the powers that be in Washington DC, Andrew Yang is trying to convince Iowa voters to caucus for him next month.

This morning, the Democratic presidential candidate spoke to a standing room only crowd at The Brewed Book on Harrison Street in Davenport.

At least three democratic candidates' names will be on the ballot for Rock Island County state's attorney.

This afternoon, the electoral board announced its decision to deny the challenges filed against petitions filed by Assistant State's Attorney Calvin Dane and Defense Attorney Herb Schultz.

Democratic presidential candidate, Michael Bennet, shows no sign of getting tired of eating at Iowa diners. Herb Trix reports yesterday, the U.S. Senator from Colorado met with voters at Ross' Restaurant in Bettendorf after campaigning at Muscatine's Black Pearl Cafe and Jenny's Diner in Clinton.

The second presidential candidate in as many days made a stop in Davenport on Thursday. California Senator Kamala Harris spoke at a town hall at St. Ambrose University's Rogalski Center, fielding questions from the audience.

Two new names have been added into the list of candidates for Rock Island County State's Attorney.

The most recent democrat to consider running for president will visit eastern iowa this weekend. Ohio U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown is starting a tour of select states to help him decide if he wants to run for the nomination next year.

Delaney for President

The first official candidate for president for the 2020 election will visit the Quad Cities and eastern Iowa this weekend. This will be the 5th trip to Iowa for Maryland Congressman and democrat John Delaney since announcing his candidacy last summer.
