Co-chair Chelsea Smith says there’ll be a silent auction, kids activities, information tables, and testimonials from local residents.
“Whether you’re struggling with addiction or wanting to seek recovery or just don’t know where to start, maybe this event would help somebody be able to come and listen to a testimonial or get a resource that they need.”
Participants will also pay tribute to those struggling with addiction, and those who’ve died.
Smith says a lot of help is available in the Clinton area, including support groups such as Narcotics Anonymous and Crystal Meth Anonymous. The sponsor of the vigil is the Clinton chapter of a group called CRUSH, which stands for Community Resources United to Stop Heroin.
Thursday night’s vigil will be held from 5 until 8:30.
