COVID QC Death Still Rising

COVID-19 has killed ten more people in the Quad Cities, six in Rock Island County since Monday, and four during the past week in Scott County.

Rock Island County reports 72 new cases in the past two days, and an average for the past week of 42 cases per day - down from 52 a week ago. Scott County has added 484 new cases since last week, for an average of 69 a day, and that's up from 60 per day during the previous week.

Positivity rates are falling in Rock Island County (6. 9 % now, down from 7.5 %), and rising in Scott County (8.4 % now, up from 7.5 %)

New cases in the Illinois Quad Cities include seven staff members at the East Moline state prison, up from two last week.

Dubuque County reports 228 new cases during the past week, and 3 new deaths. Active cases of COVID-19 in the county have risen from 278 in mid-August, to 759 now.
