WIU Displays Historic Art Donation

Western Illinois University has added some color to its Quad Cities campus. Today, Feb. 11, the school put nine pieces of art on display, that were donated by KONE.
WIU director of development, Paul Plagenz says KONE, which makes elevators and escalators, donated the pieces from its historic art collection.
The art includes original watercolors, lithograph prints, multicolor weaving. And, all of the artists live in, or have a connection to, the Quad Cities.

Plagenz says the art will be displayed in the Atrium at the riverfront campus, through the end of this month. Then, it will be moved to other public areas on campus, and will be used by students in Museum Studies classes.
