Whitaker Chosen Principal for RI High School

The interim principal of Rock Island High School has been promoted.

Tuesday night, the board of education approved the appointment of Jeff Whitaker to be principal, with an official start date of July lst. Whitaker has been serving as interim principal since last summer.

After meeting in private for nearly an hour, the board approved Whitaker's appointment by a vote of 4 to 3.
