Teachers to Bring TED Talks to Dubuque

TedxDubuque

A couple of Dubuque High School teachers are encouraging people to be "life-long learners."  On March 19, they're hosting an independent TED event at Loras College.

TED is a 30-year old non-profit that organizes conferences for the world's leading thinkers, devoted to "ideas worth spreading." And it's inspired local events like this one in Dubuque.
One of the organizers, Erica Sheehan, says this will be the first of its kind in Dubuque. The conference will feature five speakers, presenting on the topics of education, learning, and psychology.
Speakers include Tim Boffeli, Chair and associate professor of psychology at Clarke University, Jordan DeGree, Founder of Matter Creative Center in Millworks District, and others.

The event is free and open to all ages. Registration is required, and is now open on the TED-X Dubuque website.
