The national touring show Beatles vs. Stones - A Musical Showdown is coming to the Adler Theatre in Davenport on October 20, 2020.  The tribute bands Satisfaction and Abbey Road, wearing period clothing and playing vintage instruments, will be accompanied onstage during seven of their songs by a string quartet composed of local high school musicians.

Pleasant Valley High School (PVHS) senior Madison Brady plays the cello, PVHS junior Lila Teitle and sophomore Thi Phan play violin, while North Scott High School junior Kaitlyn Wood performs on the viola.  They will join the bands for the songs Eleanor Rigby, A Day in the Life, Hello Goodbye, Hey Jude, Gimme Shelter, and Ruby Tuesday.

Listen to the conversation here with Madison Brady, Lila Teitle, and Kaitlyn Wood about the joy they feel being able to perform after months of artistic isolation due to the pandemic, the misperceptions other people may have about playing in a string quartet, and their experience in the Quad City Youth Symphony.

Tickets can be obtained at the Adler Theatre Box Office or online via Ticketmaster.  Tickets are sold in socially distanced pods of two or four, and a COVID-19 protocol for safety is in place.
