Augustana College will send six students to Boston this weekend, to compete in the NCAA Division Three Indoor Track and Field Championships. Senior Michael Johnson has the 7th fastest time in the 60 meter dash, while Junior Katie Eastburn has the 7th fastest time in both the 200 and 400 meter dash.
Augustana Senior Cody Wheeler from East Moline and Junior Hannah Willhite from Rock Island will also compete. Wheeler in the weight throw and Willhite in the 60 and 200 meter dash.
Sophomore Ryan Thorton is the youngest qualifier heading to nationals in the high jump. Senior Mackenzie Butcher will represent the college in the pole vault.
Monmouth College will send two students to the same tournament. Senior John Hintz and Junior Joe Krall are ranked 5th and 6th in the weight throw.
