A 12 year old boy is charged with attempted murder after a student brought a gun to North Scott Junior High School Friday morning.
Eldridge police say the .22 caliber handgun was loaded, but no shots were fired. They credit a teacher with disarming the student before police arrived at the school. It was placed on lockdown while officers investigated.
The 12 year old male student is charged with Attempted Murder and Carrying a Weapon on School Grounds. He is currently being held in the Scott County Juvenile Dentention Facility.
