The Clinton Lumberkings hope the new season provides fans with great baseball and plenty of fun.
General Manager Ted Tornow says last year attendance totaled 111,000. That's about 2,000 less than 2013. So, the team is trying to attract people who might not usually go to baseball games. For example, there will be more fireworks shows, and Elsa from "Frozen" is scheduled to make an appearance.
Tornow says his coaching staff is stable. But he did hire a new hitting coach.

Fans of baseball history buffs will know Mike Davis from the Dodgers & A's.
Last fall, the Lumberkings extended their affiliation contract with the Seattle Mariners for two years. And the naming rights deal for Ashford University Field won't expire until 2018.
