Clinton County has been added to the list of Iowa Counties considered state disaster areas. That means Clinton County residents can apply for aid from the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program.
It joins Scott and Muscatine Counties, which were previously added to the state disaster proclamation.
According to Community Action of Eastern Iowa, a household has to have an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guideline. For example, a 3 person household would need to have an annual income of 42,000 or less to qualify.
Eligible applicants will be granted up to 5,000 dollars to help with home and car repairs, replacing clothing or food, and for temporary housing. Applications will be accepted until Friday, June 14th.
