SAU continues fundraising for the McMullen Hall expansion

St. Ambrose University

A gift from Nestle Purina PetCare will help renovate a building at St. Ambrose University. The company has donated 25,000 dollars to the campaign for McMullen Hall.

Sally Crino, the Associate Vice-President for Advancement, says the project will cost 8.6 million dollars, and the university has raised 1.2 million so far.

"The college of business became kind of the focus for update because the structural space for the college of business has remained decentralized and outdated. So we updated, our faculty and curriculum has adapted to the 21st century workplace, but the structural space is still dated."

The new space in McMullen Hall will include six classrooms, the dean's office suite, 44 spaces for business faculty and support staff, and a student lounge.

Work began on the project in October and its expected to be finished bythis summer.

SAU is also reaching out to around 10,000 business students who were undergrads at St. Ambrose, hoping to raise additonal funds.
There are currenly 651 students at St. Ambrose's College of Buisness as of fall 2019.
