Immigration, the military, and religion--those were just some of the topics covered today by Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum. He answered questions at a public meeting this morning at the Scott County GOP office in Davenport.
Santorum, who is a former US Senator from Pennsylvania, has participated recently in what's called the JV national republican debates. He says this isn't fair to the candidates or the voters.
Santorum also talked about increasing defense spending, getting rid of Obamacare, and his opposition to gay marriage and abortion.
He says if elected, he'd create more jobs by forcing immigrants to leave the country when their visas have expired.
Today was the end of Santorum's five-day campaign visit to Iowa that also included stops in Des Moines, the Quad Cities, and Marshalltown.
