Ross' Restaurant Prepares to Re-Open

A 75-year-old restaurant in the Quad Cities is almost ready to re-open at a new location. Ross' Restaurant is located on 14th Street near the I-74 Bridge in Bettendorf, and will move 4 miles north over the next couple of weeks. The family business must move because of the new I-74 bridge project.

Ross' Restaurant was allowed to stay downtown longer than other businesses near the bridge as it searched for a new location. Manager Melissa Freidhof-Rodgers says that's because of its place in the community.
New features in the old Frank's Pizza include a full-service bar, more dinner options, a new kitchen, and exterior renovations.

The Iowa DOT is buying the 14th Street property for 1.6 million dollars as part of the bridge project.

The new Ross' Restaurant at 18th Street and 53rd Avenue in Bettendorf will open September 25th. This will be the first time the restaurant has moved in 50 years.
