When a publishing agent asked Morning Edition's David Greene to consider writing a book, the cohost and correspondent had no idea it would lead to his second trip on Russia's Trans-Siberian Railway. While he was NPR's Moscow bureau chief, Greene took to the rails with his wife, and produced a series of stories for the network. Midnight in Siberia: A Train Journey into the Heart of Russia by David Greene is published by W. W. Norton and Company.
