RI Schools Ask For Help Creating Strategic Plan

Credit Rock Island School District

The Rock Island School District is asking business owners, parents, and community members to help create a strategic plan for the next three years. Tomorrow, school administrators will hold several focus group meetings.

Spokeswoman, Holly Sparkman, says the goals of the plan include preparing college and career-ready citizens, and to become the school district of choice for an innovative education.

She says having a strategic plan has helped Rock Island schools pay more attention to the needs of their students and the community.
Sparkman hopes members of the community will help the Rock Island School District update its strategic plan for the upcoming school years.

Four focus group meetings will be held Tuesday, beginning at 6 pm. Registration is required to attend the meetings.
