Republicans Campaign in Scott County Before Election

Nearly all the candidates on Iowa's republican ticket visited the Quad Cities today to campaign together. With less than 24 hours to go until the election, Governor Terry Branstad, Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds, U.S. Senate candidate Joni Ernst, and others held a rally at the Scott County Republican Headquarters in Davenport.

Ernst, who's in a tight race with democrat Bruce Braley, says federal oversight, higher taxes, and costly health insurance have blocked progress in Iowa.

Adam Gregg, candidate for Attorney General, praised Iowa republicans for being unified--unlike their opponents, he says.

"Are they traveling the state together? Are they working together? They don't want anything to do with one another. They're pointing fingers at each other. They're blaming each other. They don't know to call each other by their right names."

Also on hand at the rally in Davenport were 2nd district candidate for Congress, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, and Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey.
