QCSO Invites Everyone to Perform in Community-Wide Concert

Local musicians have a chance to play with the pros, and be part of the largest orchestra ever assembled in the Quad Cities. Next month, the Quad City Symphony Orchestra will hold its first ever Community Wide Side-by-Side concert.

Spokesman Brad Lewis says people of all ages are invited to perform, as long as they play an instrument and can read music. They'll join the QCSO to perform Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.

Registration is open until the day of the event, on April 10th. But Lewis says 130 people have already signed up to perform in the concert.
Lewis says on Saturday, April 9th, the day before the Side-by-Side concert, the QCSO will hold its Family Music Carnival and Disney Concert at the RiverCenter in Davenport.

Then the next day, the QCSO will perform with the Quad City Symphony Youth Ensemble at 3 pm, followed by the Community Wide Side-by-Side concert at 6 pm, also at the RiverCenter.
