A Quad Cities man who's recovered from COVID-19 is living life and doing well more than a month later.
Herb Trix reports 41-year-old Jason Roessler, of Rock Island, got tested on July 11th after his wife tested positive for the coronavirus.
His test was positive, too, so he took two weeks off from his welding job to quarantine with his wife and son.
Earlier in the spring, Roessler was concerned about getting infected because he has type two diabetes.
At first he had no symptoms, but then Roessler says he eventually developed a cough and lost his sense of smell.
He said it felt like he had a mild cold. His wife's symptoms were the same except she also felt exhausted.
But his 12-year-old son never had any symptoms and never tested positive.
Another member of the family also contracted COVID-19. Roessler's uncle was on a ventilator for a while.
He has underlying conditions and is still in the hospital.
