Some residents of Davenport will take the first step on Tuesday to fill a vacancy on the city council. A primary will be held in the Third Ward, and there are 6 names on the ballot.
They're hoping to replace Bill Boom who resigned in April following his guilty plea in federal court to lying to a grand jury.
The two top finishers in the primary will advance to the general election on July 11th.
Polls will be open in the Third Ward on Tuesday from 7 am until 8 pm.
The six candidates are Andrew Arnold, Barry Donald, Joe Heinrichs, Marion Meginnis, Ursula Becky Peters, and Carlton Wills.
