Fans of PBS may want to attend Monmouth College's graduation ceremony this spring. Today, the college announced its commencement speaker will be Public Broadcasting System Senior Vice President of Station Services, Juan Sepúlveda.
He's been in the position since 2014, representing independent member stations to help them remain connected to their communities. Sepúlveda also works with the PBS Board of Directors, stations, and other groups to address sustainability.
Before joining PBS, he worked for the Democratic National Committee on Hispanic Affairs. And he led a White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics.
Sepúlveda also helped create a consulting group called The Common Enterprise, and hosted a show called "Conversations" on the PBS television station in San Antonio, Texas.
Monmouth College's 160th commencement will be held at noon on May 14th.
