Part of the riverfront bike path in Rock Island will be closed for another week. The city says a crew will complete a project it started on Monday (between Schwiebert Park and 24th Street).
This time, the Great River Trail will be closed between 24th Street and the Arsenal Island railroad bridge. That section is located behind the Quad City Botanical Center and QCCA Expo Center.
Workers will place riprap between along the shore and repair the bike path itself.
The trail should reopen by Saturday, October 6th.
