New Moline Alderman

Moline

The Moline city council is back up to full strength. Tuesday night Mayor Scott Raes appointed Carol Triebel to represent the third ward.
She fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Janet Bender in November, and will serve until the term expires in April.

Triebel is retired from the City of Rock Island where she worked in the Planning Division as Housing Program Officer. Previously she worked at St. Ambrose University and First Federal Savings and Loan Association in Moline.
She currently serves as Governor of the Midwest District of Pilot International and as a member of the Pilot Club of Moline. She's also a director of Rebuilding Together of the Quad Cites.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
