A top official at Verizon has joined the John Deere board of directors. Friday the company announced the addition of Tamra Erwin, Executive Vice President and CEO of Verizon Business, a division of Verizon Communications.
That division provides services and products for clients around the world and has annual sales of more than 30 billion dollars.
Erwin joined Verizon in the 1980s as a customer service representative, and eventually became chief marketing officer and executive vice president of wireless operations.
She replaces Sam Allen on the Deere board - the retirement of the company’s former CEO, and board chairman since 2010, became effective today.
