A top executive at John Deere has been promoted. Friday the company announced a decision by the board of directors to appoint John May to be Chief Operating Officer, starting next month.
May has worked for the company for 22 years, with early jobs as factory manager at the Dubuque Works and head of the company's operations in China. And he's been a member of the senior management team since 2012 when he became president of Agricultural Solutions and Chief Information Officer.
Just last year, he was named president of the Worldwide Agriculture & Turf Division.
