Moving Away From Iowa & Illinois

United Van Lines

Both Illinois and Iowa are losing people but for very different reasons. That's one of the findings from the latest report from United Van Lines on where its customers moved last year.

Herb Trix reports.

(Herb Trix talked with Michael Stoll, Professor of Public Policy at UCLA. This is the 7th year United Van Lines has hired him to interpret the data)

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
