A couple of communities have already declared snow emergencies.
Each city has its own rules, but in general that means parking is banned on all marked snow routes after two inches of snow falls. Vehicles parked on snow routes may be ticketed and towed.
Property owners may also be required to remove snow and ice from sidewalks within 24 hours of a winter storm.
- Morrison's snow emergency begins tonight at 10 pm and continues through 8 am Wednesday.
- Coal Valley's is from noon tomorrow until 6 pm Wednesday.
Communities also appreciate it if people remove snow from around fire hydrants.
