During day 2 of the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run, David Hearn finished his back-nine leading the field at 12-under par.
There was just one problem: Hearn's putting came under scrutiny from PGA officials, who thought he might have anchored his putter against his body.
"I can say with 100% confidence there isn't a single putt that I've hit as anchored," Hearn said. "But, you know, they had to ask and do their due dilligence, and that's fine. And I know there's always going to be questions with it, but I'm not doing anything wrong."
Defending champion, Bryson DeChambeau, withdrew from the tournament yesterday with a shoulder injury.
In addition to coverage from the Golf Channel, CBS will broadcast during the final two rounds of the John Deere Classic tomorrow and Sunday.
