J.D. Classic Wins 2 PGA Tour Awards

John Deere Classic

This year's winner of the John Deere Classic, Dylan Frittelli, wasn't the only one who walked away from the 2019 tournament with an award. The John Deere Classic has been honored by the PGA Tour with an award for "Best Title Sponsor Integration" for the second consecutive year, and "Most Engaged Community" for the seventh time.

Senior Director of Communications for the PGA Tour, Joel Schuchmann says the tournament is impressive every year.

"If you're on-site at the event or in the community, you see the footprint of the John Deere Classic all over the community, too. So, it's been a really, really great success story. It's one of the PGA Tour's smallest markets, but yet it does as much or more for charity than almost any other event on the PGA Tour."

Over 2,000 volunteers logged more than 35,000 hours for the event this year. The tournament also raised $13.8 million for 542 local charities in 2019.
