The hospital in Aledo has been renovated and upgraded for the first time since it opened 37 years ago. Tuesday afternoon Genesis Medical Center Aledo will celebrate with a ribbon cutting and open house.
Administrator Ted Rogalski says the 12 million dollar project began two years ago, and renovated the entire facility.
And now the hospital staff of 120 have the space they need to work more efficiently.
Rogalski says Genesis Medical Center Aledo records about 26,000 visits each year, with significant growth in the number of out-patient visits - that number jumped 6 per cent last year.
The ribbon cutting will be held at 4 pm, with the community open house from 5:30 until 8 pm.
