A man suspected of setting a fire last month in downtown Rock Island will have to undergo a psychological evaluation. That was the order today at a court hearing for 34 year old Jason Anderson of Rock Island.
He's charged with arson for the September 27th fire, in the 200-block of 18th Street that severely damaged several buildings and displaced some businesses and residents.
At the request of Anderson's attorney, Judge Walter Braud ordered a fitness evaluation, and scheduled a status hearing for November 10th.
Anderson was arrested last week, and bond was set at 100,000 dollars.
