Dubuque Begins Curbside Collection of Electronics

Dubuque has begun offering curbside collection of electronic waste. Starting today, appointments can be made to dispose of electronics such as laptops, monitors, and TVs, among others.

Dubuque Resource Management Coordinator, Anderson Sainci, says the collection program is all about convenience.

"So currently right now, we've had numerous customers who've called and said, 'Hey, can you pick up our electronics for us?' So it's really making things more convenient for the customer."

The fee for curbside pickup of any electronic device with a screen is $20. Additional devices will cost extra. Collections must be scheduled ahead of time by calling the Dubuque Public Works Department at (563) 589-4250. The electronics will be recycled by the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency.
