Dubuque officials want to hear from residents who have trouble accessing businesses and public buildings, especially the elderly and the disabled. The city is asking them to complete a questionnaire.

Dubuque's ADA Inspector, Gary Blosch, says after taking inventory of public areas such as city buildings and parks, he decided to focus on next year's accessibility plans by asking the public for input.

Blosch says everyone should be able to access public areas that an able-bodied person uses. That's why he calls the city "Inclusive Dubuque."

Questionnaires are available at city buildings or online, and should be completed by Sunday. A report on the findings will be published in December.

Dubuque will hold a meeting about accessibility at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Hills and Dales Community Center.
The questionnaire can be found at http://CityofDubuque.org/ADA.
