Once again, the Davenport Board of Education is set to vote on a plan for a new pool and auditorium for Central High School. At tonight's meeting, the board will hold a public hearing on the $20 million plan, and members may vote on the project.
Last summer, the school board fired CSO Architects because construction bids came in way over budget. Then it hired Larrison and Associates from Davenport to take over from the Indiana firm.
The pool would have eight lanes plus four more for student athletes to warm up, and the auditorium would seat 900 people.
