Good news for local motorists - the lane closures on the Centennial Bridge between Rock Island and Davenport will end on Friday. Weather permitting, the Illinois Department of Transportation says the contractor doing repairs on the bridge will complete the final pavement markings, and remove the barriers.
Even though all four lanes will be open to traffic, the two year, 3.3 million dollar repair project isn't quite finished. But the remaining work can be done underneath the bridge, without restricting traffic.
