Iowa democratic congressman Dave Loebsack will have another republican opponent this year. Thursday night, Ginny Caligiuri of Osceola will officially announce her candidacy, in her home town.
On her website, Caligiuri describes herself as a "pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-Israel, and pro-Constitution conservative." And since Iowa's 2nd District supported Donald Trump in 2016, she plans to help him accomplish what he was elected to do.
Loebsack was first elected to the US House in 2006.
