Bernie Sanders Returns To Quad Cities Area For Second Time Since Launching Presidential Campaign

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders spoke before an outdoor crowd of hundreds at Scott County Park in Eldridge, Iowa, on Sunday, August 16. WVIK's Benjamin Payne reports:
Senator Sanders was originally scheduled to speak at the Scott County Democratic Party's headquarters in Davenport. However, two days after the public event was announced, the number of RSVPs exceeded the capacity of the office suite, prompting Sanders' campaign to move the event outdoors.

The visit was Sen. Sanders' second public appearance in the Quad Cities area since launching his presidential campaign in May.

His earlier address at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport marked the Senator's first campaign stop outside of New England, where his campaign is headquartered in Burlington, Vermont.
